Jonathan Elliott started out as a film editor on religious documentaries before working as a current affairs researcher for London Weekend TV and then training as a journalist with the Financial Times.
After a stint reporting from West Africa and working at CNBC Europe as a technology reporter, he went to the BBC to make investigative documentaries and then worked on films about international development for the UNDP. He went to join the launch team of Al Jazeera English and set up his consultancy elliottmedia making films on international development.
He now combines consultancy at elliottmedia with making history documentaries.
He lives in Suffolk and London.
